Perhaps... Time creates its own distance, putting up walls that can't be torn down by fire and guns.
the year: in seasons Spring. The cold drifts away, but the ice on my heart doesn't seem to melt. It's a numbness where the needles are lodged into my skin. Restless. But no longer can I stand.
